Exemptions

Record a regulator decision that changes a practitioner's CPD requirement.

Cupid records an exemption or other regulator determination after it has been granted.

Recording an exemption in Cupid does not create or approve it. The practitioner remains responsible for obtaining the regulator's decision.

What is recorded

  • The points reduction.
  • The reason.
  • The deciding authority and its reference.
  • A different completion deadline, if one was set.
  • A note about the decision.

The reduction changes the required total shown in My CPD for that year. A structured determination can also change categories, caps or another obligation.

Record or update an exemption

  1. Open My CPD, then the CPD settings view.
  2. Open Exemptions for the CPD year the decision applies to.
  3. Enter the reduction and the regulator's decision details.
  4. Select Record exemption.

Updating or removing the exemption recalculates the totals. Removing it restores the unadjusted requirement for that year.
