Cupid

Requirements

The requirement profile for each jurisdiction and profession, with sources and review dates.

Cupid holds requirement profiles for all eight Australian jurisdictions and measures each practitioner's record against the profile for their profession and jurisdiction. The result shows progress and does not certify compliance.

Profiles

Each jurisdiction has a solicitor profile and a barrister profile, or one shared profile where the regulator runs one scheme. A profile holds:

  • the CPD year dates;
  • the annual points requirement;
  • the mandatory categories and their minimums;
  • activity caps and any interactive minimum;
  • the carry-over rule; and
  • the official sources and the date the profile was last checked against them.

CPD year dates come from the profile. Half a point is the smallest claim, and anything between two half points is rounded down.

Where to read them

Open Requirements in the workspace for the profiles available to that organisation. The public requirements directory shows the same profiles with their sources.
